Summer Band Camp
Jazz Camp will tenatively take place July 30-August 3 (half days), 2007
Monday: 9:00am to 1pm
Tues. thru Thurs.: 9:00am to 1pm
Friday: 9:00am to 2:30pm (Concert at 1:00pm)
All students with one or more years of playing experience may attend. Students will be placed in an ensemble based on their experience level. Alto/tenor/bari sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, drum set (must have experience), string bass/electric bass, electric guitar, piano. Flute, oboe, bassoon, and clarinet players may also enroll and will be involved in a saxophone doubling workshop to learn this second instrument more suitable for jazz performance. Saxophones will be provided free of charge by Music and Arts center subject to availability. Due to instrumentation concerns, limited percussion spots are available for both band camps, so sign your child up early to assure their participation!
