Woodwinds

Woodwind instruments include flutes, clarinets, bass clarinets, alto saxophones, tenor saxophones, baritone saxophones, oboes, and bassoons.  All clarinets and saxophones are single reed instruments.  Oboe and bassoon are double reed instruments.

"Embouchure" is French word that refers to how a musician forms his/her mouth to play an instrument.  Proper Clarinet and Saxophone embouchure is VITAL to good tone quality and technique.  Click below to find out more.
